    Tougher than a regular sponge!

    We recently bought these to replace some old "bug sponges" that we've had for many years but that have fallen apart. We got these specifically for all kinds of jobs around the house, including car washing, where we need something tougher than a regular sponge, something we can scrub with that will not fall apart but also will not damage the thing being scrubbed. The plastic mesh on these is stiffer and coarser than the nylon mesh on our old spongers, making them somewhat stiffer but they still work well and don't scratch what's being scrubbed.
